If you’re on Oxford Street and need a little break from Christmas shopping (it’s hectic out there) we know a way to re-charge your batteries.
Milk & Cookies – it’s a thing
You might think only American children between the age of 5-11 have milk and cookies as a little snack, we’ve all seen it in the movies or maybe it was just Joey in Friends. Either way it’s a thing. You might be thinking why on earth would you want to go to an actual place to have milk and cookies, when you could just do that at home, but this is different.
We went to Blondies Kitchen Milk & Cookie Bar. It’s not your usual bar, in that there is no booze but they do serve the milk in a little shot glass : ) It’s based in Selfridges in Oxford Street in the food hall.
Bela and I both went for a shot of milk and cookie dough combo. It came with a cheeky little chocolate flake too.
Cookies, we need that dough
We both enjoyed our combo but did feel like you need to be ready for that hit of sugar. Towards the end it did get quite sweet, but it tastes good and the milk helps to wash it down.
If you don’t fancy eating raw cookie dough you can try a fully baked one. There are lots of flavours to choose from, you’ll be spoilt for choice. If you’re feeling adventurous you can go for a full on cookie pizza or maybe just a batch of six.
Whilst writing this I came across this joke and thought I’d add in for a lol…
Q. Why is cookie dough better than men?
A. It’s enjoyable hard or soft ; )
