ASOS Go Play

Ready to go play?

Cookie and I love love love Asos. I remember buying my first dress from Asos about ten years ago! Back then it was actually known as As Seen On Screen because all the clothes were replicas of celeb outfits. So when we saw that Asos were launching their Face + Body range, we decided to go and check it out.

This was one of the most Instagrammable events we’ve ever been to, round of applause Asos. We spent far too much time in the bronzer ball pit! Yes I know the floating heads pic is creepy but it’s Cookie’s favourite so I had to include it.

The Instagram dream continues…

From water balloons hanging from the ceiling to giant weaves, it’s safe to say our camera roll was pretty full after this event.

All this fun was had before we’d even got to the main bit! In the main room, there was a really long make up take full of mirrors and lots of different products to try. We tested out a few illuminators – we both really liked the Maybelline one because it’s not glittery and gives a nice subtle shimmer. You only need a tiny drop as it goes a long way. We also liked the NYX matte lipsticks. Neither of us had used the brand before but the lipsticks were good quality and there’s a massive range of colours, especially nudes and pinks which we both wear. Cookie also tried out a curling tong – check out the video on our Instagram.

Lucky dip

Not only was this a free event but there were also goodies to take home. There was a lucky dip area with three holes in the wall, we were each allowed to pick three items. I did have a good feel before choosing, which paid off! We got loads of great stuff between us, including a limited edition Skinny Dip Carmex, NYX highlighter / contour palette, St Tropez tan gloss, GHD spray, a face mask and more!

Appy Days

We got to replenish with some healthy fresh juices, I had the beetroot, apple and ginger. Cookie went for the carrot, orange and apple. I also helped myself to a raw chocolate protein ball. Then we tried out the make up app. The screen was a selfie camera, which allows you to put virtual make up on, cool right? So I chose a dark lipstick, eye shadow and lashes that I would never normally pick. Cookie went for a nice bright pink lip and silver eyeliner. We had a lot of fun with it. You can add any product to your shopping cart and buy it on the app. It’s a good way of testing out the products and seeing how it would look on you without having to ruin the make up you’re actually wearing!

We had such a good time at the event, it was well organised and really gave you a chance to try lots of different products. Not only did we have fun but we got to play around with new products and take home some lovely gifts. Thanks for having us Asos!
